About Me

I have arrived at this profession through many twists and turns, always returning to the sense that this was my life’s work. I worked in the business world for a number of years. My next profession was a teacher of elementary age children. I especially loved working with the kids themselves because they are so honest and genuinely funny. Then I began working with children and families first as a school counselor and finally as a psychotherapist here in San Francisco, and found that was the best configuration of all. I truly respect and appreciate the hard job parents have, as well as supporting them in trying to do right by their kids. And children are aware beings which, when given the opportunity to grow psychologically, will rise to the challenge.

It is a great and profound honor to be able to witness people’s growth and to help them realize their potential.
